Saturday Sumner Adventures with Alex
Exploring the seemingly forgotten beachside community of Sumner in Christchurch, New Zealand!
After the Feb 22nd Earthquake that left our city down in the dumps and missing a fair few of our interesting weekend spent locations a lot of people got into the mindset that there isn’t anything left to do in Christchurch!
But I give you the new popped out of nowhere website called Neatplaces.co.nz !
This amazing little creation launched in Janurary 2011 gives us Christchurch kids and anyone visiting a quick little rundown of some of the jems hiding away!
“Our aim is to unveil the treasured places and celebrate the spirit of this fair city we love. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, you’ll find something here that tickles your fancy.”
So my friend Alex and I decided to utilize this amazing little website and have a day of Adventures. It just so happened that the weather was astounding so we chose to explore Sumner! Little did I know, Sumner was thriving and still held it’s warm, welcoming, relaxing and creative vibe it always has. Earthquake ridden or not Christchuch is still great and we can only get better! <3
